Kurseong Blood Donation Camp 2025: On Sunday, 28 April 2025, Aawaz Social Welfare Organization, in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society Kurseong Unit, successfully organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Kurseong Subdivisional Hospital. The Kurseong blood donation camp 2025,18 donors contributed 18 units of blood to help accident victims and thalassemia patients.
The camp ran smoothly from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM under the supervision of hospital medical staff and trained Red Cross volunteers. A total of 18 donors came forward to donate blood, contributing 18 precious units to the blood bank of Kurseong Subdivisional Hospital.
Out of the 18 donors, 8 were active members of Aawaz Social Welfare Organization, setting an inspiring example of leading by doing.
Kurseong Blood Donation Camp 2025: Aawaz NGO & Red Cross Organize Successful Drive
The event was organized to address the constant shortage of blood in the hill region, especially during emergencies, accidents on NH-110, and medical requirements of thalassemia and anemia patients in the Darjeeling hills.
“We are extremely thankful to every donor who took out time on a Sunday and donated blood to save lives. Special thanks to the Indian Red Cross Society Kurseong Unit and the doctors and staff of Kurseong Subdivisional Hospital for their full support,” said a representative of Aawaz Social Welfare Organization.
This blood donation drive has once again highlighted the spirit of volunteerism and solidarity that Kurseong is known for.
